Ryan grew up in a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He began acting professionally at the age of 13, when he was cast in a production at the History Theater in St. Paul.
He continued to work in the Metro area till he was 17.
He went to the Edinburgh Theater Festival that summer and decided to attend Conservatory Study in hopes of becoming a professional actor.
He recieved his acceptance letter to the Hartt School of Music on Christmas eve of 2001.
This past May, Ryan graduated Summa Cum Laude, with a BFA in Music Theater.
He moved to Brooklyn and began auditioning and was recently cast in the Goodspeed production of Pirates of Penzance.
Ryan was born on August 8th, 1984.
