The Brooklyn Beats is the inaugural event/wedding band founded by music industry veteran, Jon Shiffman. Jon is best known for his live work as a drummer for Grammy winner Jack Antonoff in the bands Steel Train and Bleachers. He has toured all over the world and his drumming can be heard on various National TV Commercials, and is featured in the 2024 release of Paramount Pictures’ Mean Girls movie. We are a 5-member brass ensemble specializing in wedding Ceremonies & Cocktail Hours. We charge $400 for the Ceremony and $400 for Cocktail Hour, and if $600 for both. For ceremonies we play classical music and for cocktail hour we play jazz, but of course we will do whatever the Bride & Groom want! Kyla’s warm singing tone, sensitivity, and power balances beautifully with the boys swinging and be-bop playing nature, which always calls for a spectacular time where ever they play! The members of the band met in the Brooklyn jazz jam scene and have been playing with each other ever since. They are creative with their song arrangements and always bring something new that is their own to the classic standards we all love.
